In Memory of Kelly Laas: The Invite will also carry a Coaches vs. Cancer theme in honor of former Husky player Kelly Laas who passed away in March of 2011 following a courageous battle against ovarian cancer. Laas, of Frankfort, Ill., Â began her softball career at St. Cloud State in 2008 and was an elementary education major. In her memory, St. Cloud State named the annual dome invite the Kelly Laas Memorial Invite beginning in the spring of 2012.
