2011-12: Competed in eight events as a freshman swimmer for SCSU…swam the 100, 200, 500, 1000, 1650 free along with the 100 & 200 breast and the 400 individual medley…set a school record and posted a B-Cut mark in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:06.67 on Jan. 3, 2012…swam legs in the 400 and 800 freestyle relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Originally from Madison, Wis., Caitlyn Beecher swam for James Madison Memorial High School for four seasons...an All-American and All-State swimmer for head coach Jason Verhelst…Beecher posted top times in the 500 free (5:08.10), 1650 free (18:14) and 200 free (1:57.17) during her prep career…an academic letterwinner and track and field participant at JMMHS.
PERSONAL: Caitlyn is the daughter of Curt and Cheryl Beecher…plans to pursue a degree in athletic training at St. Cloud State with a minor in coaching.
