Volleyball’s Clara Krenz named to the Keweenaw Classic All-Tournament Team

Houghton, Mich. – St. Cloud State's Clara Krenz was named to the 2017 Keweenaw Classic All-Tournament Team, it was announced on Monday afternoon Sept. 11, following the team's performance in Michigan over the weekend. The program has won seven of the first nine matches on the season and finished non-conference play with a 7-2 mark.
In the four weekend matches, Krenz played in all 17 sets while totaling 104 digs (6.12 per set), four service aces and six assists.
It was the second time in as many tournaments this season that Krenz has captured an All-Tournament honor. She also earned a place on the 2017 Cougar Classic All-Tournament Team following her and the team's performance in San Marcos, Calif. after the first weekend of the year.
This season, Krenz has played in all 32 sets from her libero position and has totaled 186 kills (5.81 per set). She is also third on the team with 10 service aces.

The St. Cloud State volleyball team now returns home to host Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) rival Bemidji State for the first home match of the season on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. at Halenbeck Hall. It will be Red Out with all fans encouraged to wear the color red to support the team. For live stats of the match click here. The program continues league play over the weekend with a trip to take on Minnesota Crookston on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m.
