St. Cloud State volleyball recruits to play in 2017 Minnesota All-Star game

A pair of incoming recruits for the St. Cloud State University volleyball team will be participating in the 2017 Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association's All-Star Match, which is scheduled to take place on July 26 in SCSU's Halenbeck Hall at 6 p.m.

Maddy Torve (Loretto, Minn.), a setter from Heritage Christian High School, will be playing on the White Team amd Erin Navratil (Albany, Minn.), an outside hitter from Albany High School, will be playing for the Red Team. Both will join the St. Cloud State University volleyball team for the fall of 2017.

The All-Star game will be part of the 2017 MNVBCA Fall Coaches Clinic that will be held on July 26 & 27, 2017 at St. Cloud State University. This year's event will include many of the nation's coaches as clinicians including St. Cloud State University volleyball coach Chad Braegelmann, who begins his third season with the Huskies in 2017.

The Huskies will kick-off their preseason practice sessions on Aug. 14, followed by their season opening at Saint Katherine College (Calif.) on Aug. 31. The Huskies will remain in San Marcos, Calif. for that weekend with games in the San Marcos Tournament on Sept. 1-2. SCSU's 2017 home opener is slated for Sept. 14 against Bemidji State at Halenbeck Hall. Tickets for all home matches are available at the gate on match day and all SCSU students get into all regular season home games for FREE with their SCSU ID card.
