St. Cloud State University baseball coach Pat Dolan has announced that Zachary Iten (Watertown-Mayer High School) and Luke Thomka (Muskego, Wisc./Muskego H.S.) have both signed letters of intent to attend St. Cloud State University beginning in the fall of 2015 and play baseball for the Huskies.  A standout pitcher for Watertown-Mayer High School and coach Justin Stohs, Iten was an All-Conference and Team Minnesota selection in 2014. His stats included a 2.25 earned run average, 52 strikeouts and a 3-1 record in 2014. He is the son of Cindy and Tim Iten.  "We heard nothing but good things about Zachary (Iten) from everyone we talked to," Dolan said. "He has put up solid numbers and impressed us with his control and his knowledge of how to pitch. He will be a great teammate and very solid player for the Huskies. "  An award winning prep ball player, Thomka played high school baseball for coach Jacob Paige. As a junior, Thomka earned All-Conference, All-Suburban and All-Region honors along with All-State Honorable Mention notice. In 2014, Thomka poted an 8-2 record along with 74 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings of work. At the plate, he batted .353 with, 29 runs and one home run.  "Luke (Thomka) is a bulldog type of pitcher who fits perfectly with what we want on the mound," Dolan said. "He isn't afraid of anyone and will come right after hitters with his heavy fastball. When he came in for his tryout he was consistently hitting upper 80's with great movement. We are excited that Luke will be here at SCSU for the next four years, and excited to see what he can do for us. We think he is going to be a big time guy for us."  St. Cloud State currently owns a 37-3, 21-3 NSIC record in 2015. The Huskies were ranked #2 in the latest NCBWA Division II national poll and were ranked #1 in the latest NCAA Division II Central Region poll.  Luke Thomka Â
