Men's Basketball officially opens season against MIAA opponents in Las Vegas

Matt Reimer begins first year as head coach
St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State men's basketball team will officially open the 2014-15 season against a pair of Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) opponents in Las Vegas, Nev., this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15.
The Matt Reimer coaching era will get underway when the Huskies open against Lindenwood University at 4 p.m. central time on Friday. Saturday, St. cloud State will take on Emporia State University at 6:15 p.m. central time. The Huskies will be playing Lindenwood for the first time. St. Cloud State and Emporia State have played one game during the 1954-55 season, a 77-71 Huskies win.
Both games will be aired live on KNSI 1450 AM/103.3 FM radio. Barry Hein is the new play-by-play announcer for Huskies basketball and will announce both games over the air on the web at www.knsiradio.com.
The Huskies are coming off a 20-8 season. The 2013-14 season marked the third straight 20-win season for the Huskies and fifth over the last six seasons.
St. Cloud State returns three starters and has added eight new players to the roster in 2014-15.
The Huskies will open at home on Nov. 21 with a non-conference game against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
