NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Come to an End, Women Place 16th, Men 12th

Birmingham, Ala. – The St. Cloud State University men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed a successful run at the 2013 NCAA National Championships today.
The SCSU women's squad totaled 116 points to finish 16th overall. The men captured 12th place with 120 points.
Final Results
Sophomore distance swimmer Alex Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) finished the championships with a fourth-place finish in the 1650 free, setting a school record with his time of 15:30.98, and earned his second All-American honor. Bryson set school records in the 500 free and 1000 free during the championships.
Sophomore Kellyn Craig (Denver, Colo.) earned All-American honors with her fourth place finish in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:17.63. She set two school records during the championships.
Another sophomore, diver Tori Raihle (Spring Lake Park) placed seventh on the three-meter board with a score of 445.30.
“We set a number of school records, earned All-American honors, had a national champion and I couldn't be more proud of everything these young people have accomplished,” said head coach Jeff Hegle.
To re-cap the championships senior diver Luke Weber (Mankato) won a national title on the three-meter board on the opening day of the championships and finished as the national runner-up on the one-meter board.
The swimmers and divers combined to earn 11 All-American honors and set seven school records over the last four days.
